October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month−and a time to share knowledge about treating a disease that has affected 2.5 million American women.
Whether you’re hosting a pink party, a walk, or a concert, this is the perfect month to make a donation to find a cure and also to get to know the facts about self-exams and reocurrence.

NBCAM has been at the forefront of promoting awareness of breast cancer issues and has evolved, along with the national dialogue on breast cancer. Although many great strides have been made in breast cancer awareness and treatment, there remains much to be accomplished.

Visit National Breast Cancer Foundation to create your early detection plan and if you’re in Philadelphia, join Grammy Award-winning singer Harry Connick Jr. on Saturday, October 30, 2010 for Rock the Ribbon – the 10th anniversary celebration and benefit concert for Breastcancer.org.
